Meeting with the guide at the Molo Beverello ticket office at 9.15 am to carry out the boarding operations on the hydrofoil that will take you to Ischia (departure around 9:40 am). Welcome to the Green Island, the largest in the Gulf of Naples and, perhaps, the richest in history. Ischia was the first colony of Magna Grecia and one of the oldest Christian communities in the Mediterranean. The minibus waiting for you at the port will accompany you on the tour of this wonderful island. It will start from the small town of Lacco Ameno. You will have free time to stroll and shop on the main road before resuming the tour. Don’t forget to take a souvenir photo of the “Mushroom”, a green tuff rock about 10 meters high that emerges from the sea. Resuming the visit, the next stop will be the Belvedere di Zaro, a terrace overlooking the sea and one of the most famous panoramic points on the island: from here with a blink of an eye you can admire a landscape that goes from the sea to the mountains. Stop for photos. We will then arrive in the municipality of Forio to visit the Soccorso Church with its characteristic white color, typical of Mediterranean buildings and perched on the sea, so called because of the strong devotion of sailors who rely on the Madonna for protection. We will leave Forio behind us and continue to the vault of the Serrara Fontana hill at the foot of Mount Epomeo. It is one of the few centers on the island that has preserved its identity. Stop for photos from the belvedere and light lunch (included). We will close the tour of the island with a stop in Ischia to admire the undisputed symbol of the island: the Aragonese Castle. Dating from the fifteenth century. and built at the behest of King Alfonso V of Aragon, it is now privately owned but open to the public for visits. The castle village can be reached by stairs or lift (for a fee, not included in the rate). Free time before returning with the minibus to the port for boarding the hydrofoil to Naples. Departure from Ischia around 16:50.
