Herculaneum guided tour by bus

Pick up at the port of Naples by bus with our guide to visit the archaeological site of Herculaneum. The ancient city was founded around the 5th century BC. and it became a “summer resort” chosen by the Romans, thanks to its enviable position overlooking the Bay of Naples. Its gorgeous villas have been built and decorated with magnificent frescoes, mosaics, and sculptures.
Maybe Herculaneum is less famous than Pompeii due to its smaller size but it’s better preserved mainly because the city was covered by a torrent of mud rather than ash and stones. Thus forming a volcanic sludge that has had an incredible conservative effect on houses and shops, and you can also see wooden objects, food, and textiles, that will offer you a unique vision of daily life during the Roman age.
Enjoy the guided tour of Herculaneum and learn about the fascinating history surrounding its ruins.
At the end of the visit, the bus will bring you back to the cruise terminal in the port of Naples.
